Apparently I'm cruel.

I took the dogs to work on Wednesday, mostly to keep them out of the way of the workmen we had at the house but also as a trial for when mum and dad are away next week. I've got no dog walker so was going to bring them to work with me and take them out on my lunch. They were outside my window, in the shade and in their travel crates with water.

Nearly everyone commented on how good they were (they just sit/sleep quietly and watch people go past) and after their walk they both literally passed out! Very stressed out doggies ;)

Anyway, someone from the other building made a complaint about it saying that the crates were cruel because they're so small.

Does this look like a cramped in and stressed dog?

Everyone in my office had a big giggle at the suggestion but I've been asked not to bring them back to prevent tension so now they're going to spend the week with their crates in the garage and full access at the garden but no human interaction and no walk until I get home.

Foxy kitty dog!

... Sadly people don't get it. My dog is infinitely happier in her kennel or in a crate than left to her own devices. If they are used to it, crate trained, they know to wait for their reward later on!

Have to say I don't see why you would keep a dog for the day in a cage when there are two of them so company for each other, and access to the garden is available...

It's not just a dog, it's a Corgi dog :p

Susie T - Because they bark a lot if let at home, especially my dog. We have a lot of elderly neighbours who are in during the day and the neighbours right at the back of us work nights. I'd far rather have them quiet at work in their crates (plus having a big walk so I only have to take them round the streets when I get home) than barking and disturbing/upsetting my neighbours and only getting a shorter walk because I don't have much time in the evening.

Um as a short term measure to keep them from hassling the builders? jeez!

Defo looks like a ginger cat though! :D

Some people just love complaining! the dog looks quite happy in there! I wouldnt mind spending the day relaxing in there myself! :D
