Appleby Horse Fair

Having spent the day there today I am interested to see what others thought and Felt about it??

The fair proper doesnt start until the Wednesday after the Derby, so the week prior is usually spent as a big party. I used to go many years ago and my family still do go. Personally its the arses that put me off going, do remember for every dickhead there is a proper horseman around the corner.

Used to go and stayed on the top field quite often.

It is now what i would class as dangerous and many travleller families i know are not staying on the top field or even going this year because of some of the happenings last year! Enough to put you off for life

It is a shame that something that should be a celebration of horses and horse people has become so debased.
