how much work do you do with your horse in one day......
i try and do at least 5 miles of work. i do further in the holidays and in the summer when the light nights come back.

I have no idea, I go on hours rather then miles!

Erm I don't know either, but generally I aim for an hour and a half of trotting and cantering, with some walk breaks in between. My horse is quite slow, so probably not as far as everyone else, but I do as much as I need to get her working properly.

Well ty is on a new fitness regime now! Schooled, lunged and longleined in the week (to keep the mind ticking) then hacking at weekends.....well that's the plan!

Ummmm..... I'm not big on hacking, if it was the beach about 1hr-1hr 1/2.

Work about 20 mins -30 mins in school.

I go for more for the amount of time and type of exercise such as canter/gallop work. But i know when i hack on the roads i go more than 5 miles most of the time.
