Do you need dam and sire to apply to be part of the Arab horse society? Also on my horses passport her breeding is unknown but it's pretty obvious to tell she's got a fair bit of Arab in her( thought to be 3/4 by my YO)

The donkey ~
thanks if anyone can help a rather thick question.

yes I think you do have to know the horses dam and sire. I'm sure the horse must be around atleast 12% (may be wrong with the percentage, could be more!) arab blood in them.

Ah read the post wrong sorry! If you want her passport overstamped, what i said applies otherwise if you want to be a member I'm not sure, but I doubt you have to own an arab to support the society.

My mare is registered as a 50% Part Bred Arab with the Arab Horse Society; her dam is listed as Welsh (no section!) and nothing else, no maternal granddam or sire. Her sire has a full history going back to Crabbet lines. I think they accept up to 12.5% Arab blood to register as a part bred.

Damnnn no Arab horse society then. We think she's 3/4 Arab and 1/4 welsh something. So I'm not sure that as a percentage! Haha
And thank you so much minkymoo! She's an old little donkey haha
