First thank-you for helping with 'small SC yards to rent' on behalf of a friend - had several numbers to pass on - so thank-you again.
Second poser that has been dropped on my lap is a client is looking for an Arab horse with Edurance in mind

I have had a look on the ususal sites but have seen nothing that I think would be suitable for a very competitive rider. - Any Ideas ?

Preferably 15hh + , sex not important, stallion can be catered for no problem, must be 5years +
MUST have good confirmation, good to handle, farrier, traffic, travel, be on own - ie away from friends while out competing. and not asking sillly silly money

- Any Ideas ?

You could speak to Anne Brown at Gadebrook Stud, this is what she breeds for. Lovely big strong Arabs for racing and endurance.

Thank-you I will get in touch with Gadebrook Stud, sounds ideal and I'm sure the link wasn't there when I posted !! but got that number as well !!!!

Cheers - as always people are very good and come up trumps ! THANKS

Anne doesn't seem to have anything suitable for sale at the moment, but she's really friendly and knows a lot of people. You can tell her that Fire's owner mentioned her. :-)
Some interesting horses on Arabian Lines at the moment.

Edited to add, oh, looks like Anne is selling up. I've stayed at the farm, it's beautiful and you can get to some great riding. I wonder if she plans to stay in Arabians. She has bred some fantastic horses. :-(

Anne's horses are excellent, unfortunately I think my friend bought her last available 5 year old a couple of months ago.

Other studs are the Vlaq (sorry if misspelt), try Binley Arabian stud (the owner Caroline may know of something if she hasn't anything suitable), Worth Arabian stud, google Lesly Dunn / Chatanz (can't remember stud name, she usually sells 3 yr olds but may have something), try Yawl Hill Stud (Kirsty Wiscombe), Pearl Island Arabians, Alex Tennant may have something for sale, try the EGB classifieds site, then each group (such as the south west group) have their own sites with classifieds on as well.

There are plenty out there of all different levels, it's just being part of the sport & having an idea where to look.

Yes I did have a look on her website and saw a 'Farm' for sale - looks rather nice !! but I will phone her on Monday as she may know of some contacts.

Again thanks to everyone that has posted !

Is it wine time yet ?? lol

Anne is only selling part of the place, Gadebrook Stud is staying place where it is currently. If there is a lady with contacts it is Anne! She has some seriously gorgeous youngsters by her stallion, Sambist, who is an absolute cracker & a gentle stallion as well.
