Anybody know of any and if so, any pics? I'm putting my Egyptian arab mare to a gorgeous Hannoverian and cant wait to see the results :D

Ah well I'll deffo keep you all updated - probably on an obsessional daily basis ha ... the foal is to be my future horse and my arab is 15.3 (egyptian) and he's 16.2 so Im hoping for a tall bambino ;)

not hanoverian but i rode an arab x polish wb the other day - would not like to post pics as he is not mine but he was a beautiful horse - really nice quality body, well put together and a beautfiful head with a slightly dished face

I did the cross the other way round. Well I think I did  the owner of the mare I borrowed to put my high % Crabbet arab stallion on told me she was a hannovarian and I have no reason to disbelieve them however they never quite got around to letting me have her papers...

Anyway, if I've figured out posting pictures this is him last year at the age of 5 with his 12 year old owner/rider :D having only been back in work for 3 weeks. His temperament is certainly a lot sweeter than his mother's was! He is also *very* economical to feed :p

I'd say he has the trainability and joy of his arabian sire and has some serious elevation to his paces from his dam. Quite different from the high % TB part-breds I have by the sire. They show off with the flashy extensions, this guy passages - albeit with his tail stuck straight up in the air :D

eta sire 15hh, dam 16.2hh, progeny 15.3hh last time of measuring although I suspect he's grown again since.

My friend has an Arab x hanoverian mare and she is lovely. Really lovely temperament, easy to handle on the ground and a very good doer. She is very whizzy and forward to ride but never bucks, spooks, bolts etc so very safe. She is only 14.2 but very solid.

My Hanoverian boy who was imported from Germany isn't a cross as such but does have Arab on his dam-line. Can't see the influence as it was way back but they have obviously been used in the past and my boy has pink papers and is out of a state premium mare. Been done before so why not!

i have a bavarian x arab (arab stallion) he has been a fab horse was hard work as he has his own mind and thinks too much but when he settled (11yo!!) he has been great, i would do the cross again if i was to breed again but saddly lost his mum

This is my Mare:) Her Sire is Hannoverian (Broadstone West Country) and her Dam is Arab (Racing Silk). She is quite highly strung but very brave and quick!

She has an amazing work ethic and is highly intelligent, she learns very quickly. She has extravagant paces and is very dominant in the field, but her manners in terms of handling are perfect.

Dorrie will be 18 in June and although I have told her this, she refuses to act or look her age.
As you can probably tell:D I absolutely adore her.

Oh, no, another beautiful one. This is obviously my perfect mix of horse, especially in bay!

Dorrie is a gem among horses, DH1 is my friend and I'm very lucky in that I get to help with her schooling. This horse is responsible for getting my confidence back after my own mare threw me and I broke my back, ironic really when mine looks like a 'safe coloured cob' and Dorrie the 'nutty racehorse'. A classic example of this mare's wonderful character and temperament happened this weekend on our first ride in the large field after a winter in the school. Dorrie was an angel and behaved impeccably whereas I lasted 30 seconds on the 23 year old coloured before I chickened it and bailed just as the rearing started.
When DH1 first had Dorrie I was a little sceptical about the cross but if this little mare is anything to go by you will have a wonderful horse.

We almost bought a WB/Arab cross for my daughter 4 years ago and she was a lovely fleabitten grey with good ridden and handling manners.Sadly she failed the vetting which was a great shame as she was really lovely.

What excellent taste in horses you have Bluewhippet:D

The only thing that can be a bit challenging is finding a saddle that fits correctly. Dorrie is short backed and quite round in the barrel with well sprung ribs, which are all Arab traits, combined with powerful movement from the shoulders which I think she gets from the Hannoverian side.
I often get the impression that this combination is every saddle fittters nightmare:D.

:D:D:D:D:D:D Sorry Laura but it was absolutely hilarious, we tacked her up and walked her down to the field for a 30 second ride.
Haven't seen anybody dismount that quickly since pony club games:D

Ohh thanks for all your kind replies and your photos – they’re all so beautiful!!
Hopefully my new little one will turn out just as stunning … my mare is the sweetest arab in the entire world and – she’s grey and very leggy standing at 16hh with a fabulous family tree (she’s straight Egyptian) and we’re putting her an equally stunning black Hannoverian who is 16.2. I wont say who he is (although some may guess as he’s discussed on here quite a lot) as I don’t want to jinx it when she finally goes off to stud …

Keep your fingers crossed for us :D

Good luck you will have an amazing little horse on your hands.

Yes ! That Racing Silk, and you're not nosey at all :)
I haven't managed to find a photo or much information about Racing Silk yet though. I had no idea of Dorries pedigree when I bought her so it's been fascinating. It's amazing how far back in time these records go back , some of the pictures of her ancestors are in the form of oil paintings!

Beautiful horses you have!

We have bred a couple of Part-bred arabs as we have an Arab Stallion. They have all turned out lovely horses. Tamerillo was a cross. Now that would be fab if you bred a Tamerillo! :D

Good Luck! :D

Ohh I’d forgotten this post!

What gorgeous horses you've all posted :D

Well an update … stallion fees been paid so now just waiting til she goes to stud in a few weeks … the daddy to be is the beautiful Wolkenderry :0)

My arab is from BB Crystali x Thee Equalizer

Just hope all goes to plan :D

Victoria25, your mare has lovely lines. Thee Equalizer is v.nice. :) pretty pretty pretty! what made you decide to put her to a Hannoverian?

Hi littlepony ... he's lovely isnt he - not seen him in the flesh but heard lots about him! She's 15.3 and very leggy! Photo below :D

Im not sure, I didnt want to breed her with another arab as Ive got her, Ive got a TB so didnt fancy an anglo and have always loved hanovarians .. so thought hmm why not ... the foal will be for me, I wont be selling ... lets see what comes out .. just hope all goes well - very nervous as its both her first foal and mine :o

I have a Hanoverian x TB x Arab he is by the arab stallion Saker who was 100% Crabbet and his dam is a big bay Hanoverian x TB mare by Augermann.
Wonderful cross, I've owned him since a yearling and bought him from the stud where he was bred (Harwoods Arabian Stud) he is now 10 and starting a new career as a showjumper after being a dressage horse with me. He was working at medium level before I had to give up riding him. He is very intelligent and quick to learn as well as having movement to die for! His new owner loves him to bits :)

He is a total all rounder and would make a fantastic endurance horse and also has done a lot of showing both in hand as a youngster and ridden. He was the PBA and AA UK champion 3 year old in 2005 :)

I will try and put some pics of him on here.

Beautiful!

Sounds very exciting and I love hannoverians too. We have a Hannoverian cross Thoroughbred who is a little angel (well majority of the time! lol)

Good Luck :D

Just a little update ... my girl is now back from Twemlows (after a long 6 weeks) and she's just had her 28 day heartbeat scan ... so far so good ... will keep you up to date with progress :D
