Arabs - Freeze marks

Can anyone explain to me what the different Freeze Marks mean on Arabs? I understand that the symbol is different between pure bred and part bred Arabians. I'm just trying to find history on the Anglo Arab mare I have on share as she has a strange Freeze mark on her hip.

Can anyone give me more info on freezemarks on Arabs and what different ones mean?

Used to have a purebred and now have a PBA, have never heard of this. Both are registered but neither was freezemarked until I arranged for it to be done

I've never heard of this either - I have a PBA who is freezemarked and a pure-bred who isn't but if/when I do get him done I don't expect a different type of mark.

If you look at the Arabian Lines website you'll find plenty people on their forum who are experts on tracing Arab/PBA histories. They might be able to help you.

Same here - my arab just has a normal freezemark? My russian WB has a russian brand (not a breed one, although she is trakhener) which looks like a freezemark but slightly different from the ones done here. The trakhener society said she was probably branded as a foal but it grew out (does sometimes apparently) and was never re-done.
But never hear of arabs being branded as a breed I must say. Arabian Lines very helpful, if anyone knows they will!

Some Arab breeders will put their own brand on, although I haven't seen it in this country
