New horse has got what appears to be a swollen tendon with a good bit of heat in it - zero lameness and no signs of pain. I've gone down the rabbit hole of the worst tendon injuries known. sigh.
Currently being treated with bute, regular icing and box rest but waiting on swelling to go down as vets can't scan until this happens.
Everyone on Facebook seems to rave about the Arc Equine. How on earth do you keep it on for three hours?! Horse is going on full livery but has a constant need to have everything in it's mouth (has previously tried to pull off cold water boots (or in fact it will chew on everything attached to it)).
Is it worth the money/does it increase chances of horse recovering to pre-injury competition level?
