ArcEquine (also posted in Veterinary)

I used one on a horse that had to be box rested for 3 months after arthroscopy on a knee. He healed quicker than expected, and was very chilled throughout the whole time of treatment, including walking out. I noticed he was MUCH livelier once I'd stopped the Arc! He went on to event with no problems at all.

thats great to hear my horse has a DDFT injury and we have started to use the arcequine. we are looking at rescanning mid Sept to see if there is any improvement

I bought mine after my horse had a fall, she went from VERY lame, to sound within 2days of cold hosing and using the machine, I now use it all the time, travelling to events, after XC, and then once a month on a maintance programme.

My yard owner swears by one, although she uses it on herself as often as the horses! The joys of being a professional eventer... it has certainly got her current broken collar bone healed more quickly than expected

It's a very expensive tens machine... A cheaper horse version if the same thing is called a MicroVet but again that is essentially a £200 tens machine.

It's not a Tens machine at all. A Tens machine works on electrical impulses to counteract pain and it is discernable. You can't feel a micro current at all and it simulates and stimulates cells to regenerate and heal.

IV been using one on suspensory damage- initial 4week scan was fab- vet very impressed at how it had healed- the holes have continued to heal very well.
Unfortunately we have still got some swelling on one suspensory but I would say the arc defo helped the initial healing process- speak to them as they tailor made me a program so she wore hers initially for 10weeksinstead of 6 now she has gone into the maintenance setting. Just keep an eye out for any scabby areas forming with longer use- I was happy to monitor and stop as needed.
