Sorry to hear about your dressage.. It does get busy in the wamr up at Burrows Court, but I guess Archie will need to get used to loads of horses hooling around if he is going to go to big busy international shows in the future!

How is his leg now?

Hmmmmmm 'big busy international shows' and 'Archie' in one sentance - thats a scary thought!!!

Leg was hot this morning, but hes still sound as a pound. I cold hosed it and stuck some arnica gel on it then turned him out. it had gone down when i caught him in tonight, i cold hosed it again and then bandaged him up for the night as he was having tonight off anyways!

im really lucky he didnt get a puncture wound from the nails that were sticking out of the wood

he looks so fab.whaT A POWERHOUSE.he looks like he is quite calm over the fence and enjoying himself.i thinkits a great idea to pop them over loose, its great for their muscles and keep them interested!
i hate inconsiderate riders at warmup, its stressful as it is without them barging into you!at least he was ok though.im sure the next test will be alot better marks

Weeeee! he looks like he's just cruising round. Very cool. Rhino is an excellent doggie assistant (not!) - he chips in particularly when you're struggling with something. Very helpful!

Glad the jumping went so well though. I wished I could have been there as I wanted to sneakily watch but unfortunately had really Really bad foodpoisoning. And I know it wasn't a hangover as I'd been driving. Pah!

Will have to sneak up when you come up next time!

oh bless him he really looks like he enjoyed it especially the flicky toes coming into the fence !!! agh bless !!

shame about the dressage we didnt have a fantastic day sunday either !!! x

Love the video - he really is an exceptional horse isn't he. On a different note, Leyland Court is much easier to get to than Burrows court as it's right on the M4/M5 interchange. The arenas are lovely and large too so, less aggro in the colecting ring. The one at Burrows Court is too small.

awwwwwww thank you!

Ive never really heard of Leyland Court, i shall look into it.

its such a shame the warmup at Burrows is so small, as the test arenas are lovely which was the main reason why i went there.

Nice bacon sarnies at BC as well as I recall from my excursion into BD

Leyland Court is nice, very well laid out & good surfaces.

Well done!

Although the only downside about LC is the road the otherside of the hedge from the warm up - makes my warmups there VERY exciting!!

The time the pony and trap went past was particularly fun!!

BC is great coz it is 5 mins from my yard, LC does have a bigger warm up and two arenas, which is nice.

Wow - he has some jump!

Warmup sounds awful - hence I now have my "own" warmup in our local venue (A roped off section of the grass lorry park), footing may not be as nice as the indoor but at least we don't have 25 other horses to contend with!

Ah but they do have the Country Chicken van at LC which does nice chips....
have to get your priorities right T

PMSL, you are right of course! Mind you, the cake at BC is to die for....oh decisions, decisions!

As I have a winter of dressage planned (oh the joy), I shall let you know my considered opinion in the spring! Of course my fave is Abbey as they have a heater in the room the score sheets are in!!

hes normally quite good in warmups, he can get tense and have the odd fit but he is still only a baby when it comes to being at competitions. however it was all just too much for him on saturday as it was straight away into a really busy arena. He probably wouldve been alright if it had got gradually busier....

Ah, trollop just likes to pick the biggest most intimidating WB and then try and kick it at every available opportunity which when people ignore the red ribbon or ride up her bottom and ask "Oh does she kick then?" is a huge pain! New boy is an angel to warmup which is a revelation!

That's Sparks issue - when something approaches he fast she tenses but instead of running away she tries to fight it, silly moo. She is getting better, it's just a slow process!

Yay! Glad you had fun at Lotties (OrangeEmpire and me are at the same yard and Lottie is our trainer). Rhino thinks it's his duty to tear round after the horses, very scary in lessons as Henry has massive feet and I'm always terrified poor Rhino will be squished! But he always gets out the way...!

Archie is gorgeous! Love his colour and he looks to have beautiful floaty paces!
