Zarno is on Arden Grange at the moment. My two are fed JWB.

Do you feed AG and how do you rate it?

Any opinions gratefully received.

Kitty:D

I think CC and NeverSayNever both do (strange mind I have, I remember the oddest things )

Madam Spangle never objected to a bowl of it (i.e scoffed the lot) but then again, she was a spangle so didn't object to much really - if it was food she was happy :o :D

My two are pretty much the same, and I don't fuss them, they eat what they are given :D

But never having had a true large breed, I'm wondering if there is any preference to feed for them really? Have been looking at Royal Canin and of course, what I currently feed my two and wondering if there's a huge difference, obviously he'll need to have food designed for a large dog but otherwise..

Henry had it - didn't quite agree with his tummy as well as Skinners does, but wasn't dreadful either. My vet said it was a good food brand:)

I feed Arden Grange with some meat too and my lurcher looks really well with a nice shiny coat. She came from the Dogs Trust and A G is what they feed there. Lots of people said to me to get her on to something cheaper but I decided she is worth it. I wouldn't feed my horse cheap feed so why would I do it to the dog!

Arden Grange has a good name :nods: but then so does JWB - who, incidentally, do a large breed diet as well as the normal.

Herman is on Royal Canin Maxi Junior and has been since about a month after we got him - came on Pro Plan but I don't stock that so I was going to put him on AG - he ate it for a week then went on hunger strike. Same with JWB (which his brother eats with gusto) and he finally settled on the Royal Canin.

Arden Grange do a large breed diet as well - but out of choice between AG and JWB I'd feed the JWB.

Arden Grange is a good food, and is made by GSD breeders which is a good thing. It is quite pricey though, personally I would keep him on it for a while and then gradually change him over to something else I did this with Evie , changed her on to Skinners junior and now she is on the Duck & rice and does really well on it.

Hmmmm.

Whatever I have them on I'd rather have all on the same thing (barring the transition period for whoever is changing) Will have a little read up on it and see which brand does best for all three.

I really rate the JWB so might get them all on it, we'll see.

Have two dogs on it, one of which is funny on alot of foods, and neither have ever had a problem

Got both of mine on it and they love it and look good for it. I was told not to bother with the large dog feed and just to feed both the adult,, can't remember the reasoning behind this at the moment (sorry,, slight hangover this morning:().

I did feed it a couple of years ago after winning quite a large quantity of the stuff. Mine did not do well at all (large coated breed), although I did only feed a couple of my dogs on it.

Have fed JWB with good results. Royal Canin I have found is excellent for puppies and juniors, but do not like so much the adult formulas. I feed all my adults on meat and mixer, the mixer is a flake mixer from Germany and I add salmon oil, seaweed, and supplements as needed.

All the dogs at our club are on it with a few exceptions and they all look great on it.
Try and get it off an agent, it is tonnes cheaper that way (and cheaper than JWB)
Being honest, I didn't find JWB worked for my sheps.
