Ardenhall Missoni

The Ardenhall ponies have been very successful but I do not really have any knowledge of Missoni.

The only thing I would say is, are you sure you do not want to put your 'b' to another Welsh purebred? I do not know what type you are hoping to breed but would have thought a 'b' stallion worth looking at.

Saying that, we had many part bred Welsh ponies who were very successful but equally pure bred 'b's who performed equally welll in both plaited classes and M&M classes (to say nothing of PC etc).

Just a thought!

How is your mare bred and what type are you hoping to breed from her?

Presumably you are hoping for a show quality pony, in which case, and this is only my view, I would be trying for a 13hh b with quality and substance. Hence, lots of options for classes etc.

However, I am rattling on but have not a clue on the availability of stallions anywhere near you! So not very helpful.

What is your mare like, can we see some piccys?

I don't know whether you have tried this but, have a look at the Welsh Pony & Cob society website. Go to Studs Directory and then you can do a search by type (ie.e. a, b, c or d) and then by area.

Might be worth a browse!

When i get a bit more computer literate i will post piccies of her. Basically she is a Brookhall pony by Eeabrook Democrat out of a Teilwood mare. She stood supreme champion last year at SWPA NPS show as a M and M FR. She's grey and moves like a dream. Currently used as a toddler lead rein. An absolute poppet. She stands approx 12.3hh so will have to wait till my 2 year old is old enough for first ridden, hence why i'd like to breed from her. She has plenty of bone and is not a fine type at all. Old fashioned leg in each corner hunter pony. Outstanding action and exquisite temperament. I just would like to carry on with her exceptional breeding with the hope to show a homebred, whether that be a pure or part bred.
