ok - long story.
Some people may remeber the posts about the horse i had on loan that was perfect - the owners then apparently had someone to buy him and were trying to force my hand to pay £4k for a 13yr old and when i said no they came and took him the next day.
So i bought a new horse last weekend! He's 5 yr old 16.2 ISH gelding. He came from a recommended local dealer and therefore as weird as it sounds comes with a 28 day garuntee so i wanted to take advantage of this - so last sunday i took him SJ'ing to make sure he was ok with that which he was and today took him to a hunter trial. He was ace - very pleased!

Well done you, that is great. Mine was not so sucessful I went with my naughty mare, she is normally far too laidback no chance yesterday. We walked around by the lorry bit whilst waiting for the pairs to start and she was very tense, thought she'd setteled then out of no where she leaspt in the air and started bucking. In the warm up she felt like a time bomb, and would start leaping and bucking from no where and then bugger off.
On the course she hesitates at the first, then 2nd there was a horse coming from the opposite direction, people walking and car boot sale on the right well Lottie dug her heels in and started leaping, rearing and bucking. Almost knoceked the walkers flying, it was so bad I thought I was going to have to retire. Then we let a horse over take got her over and then she buggered off. Stopped at the 4th, then again buggered off and it took me till fence 11 to get her to trot down the hill. Once we did thhis she once again buggered off. Once she was going I think she could have taken on any of the fences. I came back looking like i had done several rounds, my arms and legs were like jelly and it took both of us ages to chill out.
So it was not how I really wanted it to go. Can't wait to see the pics that should be up with pixelphotz later on
