I'm in negotiations re moving my two boys to amazing farm livery, which is perfect in every way, but the stables are 14x10 and I have a 16.2 WB and a 15.2 Irish cob x TB.
Both currently have 12x12 stables which they are fine in, and I know its the same footage...reasure me please!

They will be fine I had a 17.1 in a 10 x 10 for a short while although the wall only came upto his chest so he would stand with his head over his friends stable (small pony) or over the gang way.:) I then moved to house with land and built 2 stables 12 x 12 he loved them too:p

Thanks for replying all, it was more my big WB I'm worried about. They'll only be in overnight in winter only, with turnout daily whatever the weather.
Massive pro for moving - acres of amazing grazing with even better natural shelter...tbh they could probably live out!

I think its just because I've always had large boxes, then downsized to 12x12 on a small, private DIY yard - which they were more than happy in...just feels like I am down sizing again, but footage wise I'm not really...its so worth it for the farm with its space, grass, natural shelter, hacking, only up the road, pros as long as my arm...why is moving yards such a hard decision?!
