It is like a Jilly Cooper novel but without the raunchiness!!! we have had major friendship fall outs that has resulted in a split yard in 2 barns! One side of the fall out has now befriended the YM (who on a 121 basis is fab) and since Christmas this has caused nothing but trouble and I think at times I am the only sane one out of the lot of them! Where my ponies are stabled is in barn 2 with the x friends of the trouble maker and to be honest i get on with them fab and they do nothing wrong at all but they get accused of everything and anything as the x friend just winds the YM up to the point of there being friction all the time! the latest drama is about fencing - I asked the YM to order some posts and wire so I can split our field, all fine will sort with the owner of the land who is a nice chap... anyways a couple of days later I saw said owner and mentioned the posts, hey presto i get a delivery of posts and wire ready for me to work with. Well you would of thought I had committed a crime... firstly my stable mates get accused of stealing the posts as they put them in our field (we share), then they went behind the YM back to order which is totally untrue it has made me think should I up and go with ponies and child (though we are all settled and no one has issues with me personally but as I am friends with the ladies I do get the backlash at times!) we have now set the barn up just how we like it, we have a fab arrangements with regards to sharing etc and the field is split which is what I wanted and in honesty I do like my stable mates! but I do just want to enjoy my time at the yard and I can not see this coming to an end anytime soon. My OH who plays an active part in horsey life says stay put and it will blow over but my god they are like kids at school, in fact my 2.5 yr old behaves better.... so are all yards like this .. I am on DIY with 2 ponies and in Staffordshire !!! lol

nope :) Last yard I was on before moving the horses home was perfect :) all prospective liveries were lightly vetted by the YO to make sure they would gel and it was a very laid back, supportive, friendly place. Welcoming, YO was there if you needed her but left you alone if not. Free to come and go as you pleased, with a bit of notice if you kept strange hours  I'd go back there in a flash if we had to move.
