Hi all,
My New forest mare for the past couple of nights has been soaked through with sweat after being in her stable for about an hour. The first night I thought it was because of the wind noises scaring her but there was no wind last night and she was the same. The sweat is round her chest/armpits/belly and then you can see the heat coming off her and it collects on the roof of the stable and then drips on her, it was quite wet out yesterday so that added to the humidity in the stable. Someone suggested she was just hot because only a couple of weeks ago they were out in -3 degrees and now it's 12 degrees and she's simply too hot (she does have a bear like fluffy coat at the moment) I'm wondering whether to electric tape her a little area out in the yard so she can stand outside. I've never had this happen with her before and have had her 14 years, she is well in her self, eating and drinking fine. Any ideas/experiences?
Thanks
