Are anyone elses' fields sodden?

I think we actually need a drought to dry the fields out! We have a running stream running through my self and with all the rain running down the mountain turned my entire field into rapids! My two looked like they were white water rafting!!!

My field is totally trashed - as per usual though as soon as a drop of rain falls. Ah well week today they will have 5 acres of summer grazing and my nightmare called winter turnout will be over for a few months :)

It's costing me a fortune in haylage as all the horses are back on their winter routine of 3 hours a day turnout in the sand manege. Mare and foal go out in the arena. At this rate I am going to have to order a new load of haylage. I wasn't going to need to until after the summer. Just spent a fortune on reseeding, fertilizing and spraying the paddocks. Now I have far too much grass. I like to get them out on it WHILST it's growing and not turn out onto lush pasture. Grrr!

Not really theres a few little bits of standing water in one place but its literally less than a meter wide and only a few centimeters deep. I do have some huge fen drainage ditches all the way round though so they will be helping and we have good grass coverage.

Ours really aren't that bad, muddy at the gate but thats it :D

My native hates the wet and mud so he comes in spotless everyday anyway, not a drop of mud on his sparkly white socks and nothing in his hooves or on the outside of them, Its great!!

We are on very flat, exposed land as well but moving to the summer feilds soon which will be good, lots of lovely grass, no rugs, no mud, and just fly masks to deal with..... might sound good but actually the native is very fly sensitive so good be interesting :)

Your feilds sound dreadful!!!

This pretty much sums us up too! Just as we were all boasting about avoiding mudrash this year! All the local shows and rallies are cancelled too. It stopped raining yesterday, and has been really windy today, so even out sodden, naturally wet, fields are drying. I did get the horses out for three hours yesterday, and then struggled to catch them again!
