Are hay net fillers worth it?

What are peoples overall opinions on hay net fillers. Do the current ones need any improvements? Are they useful?
Any advice is perfectly fine thanks.

I love mine. It's one of the wall mounted rings with sticky out bits to attach haynets to.

I've got the Stubbs so easy hay net filler. It's not cheap, but it's brilliant, very easy to use, and despite living outside it still looks new after a year of use.

You can tell that it has been well thought and engineered, unlike cheap rip off versions, so I don't begrudge paying a premium for that. It makes hay net filling easy and painless (I have a knackered back).

My partner made me a wooden one that folds down when not in use.
I don't bother using it now that horse is in only during the day and has small haynets. But if doing lots of nets from a big bale , I used to use a pitch fork to lift the hay into the nets , that was really quick and handy.

I have the on the wall version, which makes filling, especially from a big bale, really easy and quick - I use it daily.

My husband made me one out of an old basketball net holder that had been left here when we moved in!

Yep, I find it difficult to fill a haynet without one now !

Not for me. I use XL nets with wide mouths!

I hold one side, the rest is still on the floor and I throw the flakes in. No wrestling.

Personally found them much slower - I just stick my foot in to hold the bottom down, scoop in with my free hand and once you have some in it stays open

Hay net fillers are a great way to help manage and control the amount of hay your horse consumes in each meal. They are particularly useful for horses that tend to gulp down their food quickly, as the fine holes of the hay net make it more difficult for horses to eat large chunks of hay at once. I find them to be efficient in helping keep their horse's weight in check.

I have a couple of electric fence insulators screwed into the wall of the hay shed. Hang the net off them, one hand to hold it open, other hand to drop sections in. Works a treat.
