Hopefully I should be able to buy another horse in a few weeks, once my 'loss of use' gets sorted out. So just wondering how well horses are selling right now. also how long would it be considered reasonably to ask someone to hold a horse until the payment comes thro.

6 weeks ago people came to see Bertie (yearling) and put a £60 deposit down on him, they were going to Australia for a month so asked if I could keep hold of him until they came back, so 6 weeks on they are finally picking him up on Friday. Im dreading it

If they hadn't been going away I think they would have picked hi up that week.

I am trying to find a hunter for my husband- not got a huge amount of money (circa £3k) because his horse is 1/10 th lame (long saga)and we will keep him for life- but i only need a gelding to hunt without bucks or rears- anything else i am happy to school/sort . Most horses i see are 10 years + who havent done anything special but the price is circa £4.5 + which in my opinion is a lot of money for a horse who may "go to the top in the right hands" but surely is getting a little old to suddenly become a Badminton winner?
The number of horses i ring and leave a message about and noone bothers to return my call not even a simple "its sold" text or email. We have even seen a couple that we really liked the look of but then the owner changes their mind or messes us about- Sellers can be timewasters too.

I am about to sell one of mine, so I hope horses ARE selling!

I am STILL looking for my happy hacker - phrases like "gold dust" and "hen's teeth" spring to mind!

I've seen a couple in the north east of Engalnd that were nice and may suit, but were not quite what I'm looking for. If you are in that region PM me and I'll pass on details.
