My gelding had the farrier yesterday morning and seemed a little stiff/foot sore in the evening. I've had the same farrier for 6 years and there have never been any problems so I'm a bit clueless when it comes to how short is too short (hooves, obviously!). He may have just been a little foot sore as he was a few weeks overdue getting shod but I'm not sure if his feet are a tad too short? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks!
