My yearlings are turned out 24/7 in a field which doesnt really have anything for them to have a good scratch on at the mo (usually have a bit sycamore tree in other field) aside from each other. There are 5 in the field including 2 older horses so the do get a good mutual groom, but 2 of them have developed a new technique (at least ive never seen it before!)...
They reverse up to each other bum to bum & scratch from side to side on each others bums. Its the strangest way ive ever seen a bum itch been itched! Ive seen bums on sides but never bum to bum!
Are my yearlings really odd?
