Your new forest cross is a little overweight for my liking...i would sooner see a youngster on the leaner side,i dont like to see them carrying to much weight on a growing frame!Your id cross looks well though

No disrespect to you but you did ask if your youngsters were looking ok??
As you know your nf x is overweight,it might be beneficial for you to ask how to trim them off a little
Am sure there are others on here that have the same problem but may have some great ideas on keeping a youngster turned out 24/7 trim!He does look very grass bellied,winter is coming so he will drop some weight anyway,but before then we will have another flush of rich grass,which ideally you could do without him scoffing to much of
Have you know way of fencing off some of the field??
ive got both on a fenced off bit i have just moved yards and got a yard to myself there had been no horses on it for a while tho so the grass was long but theyve eaten it now. i just dont no how to keep the weight off coz im not feeding her maybe now theyve eaten the first rich bit they might lose weight

They would be better on very overgrown grass
,it has little nutritional value,the shorter the grass the richer it is as it grows!!
If you have no othe options i would just be thankful of winter,get some weight off,but be extra aware next spring and plan ya sections of field
