Are Mylers worth the money

Have borrowed a comfort snaffle with hooks and Toto seems to love it , dentist came yesterday and said how nice they were and checked I'd got it fitted properly , just wondered if people on here really rate them or are they just as good as other bits but just a lot more expensive

I really like them and use them for dressage on both my horses (you can check which ones are dressage legal for competitions on their site), but as with all things it really depends on what you and your horse like.

Mine was worth every penny! My cob was a headshaker, changing to a Myler was one of the (many) things that helped him get over it.

Now I have the challenge of finding a double that doesn't start him off again.

i definately rate them, had a horse on loan for my mum who came with one, but mum didnt ride much so i borrowed it inbetween! my mare was never happy in themouth, and very tense but she relaxed her head and neck straight away! she loved it! sorry to say the loan horse didnt last long and had to give it back but keep meaning to buy one!

Mine really helped my horse to go a lot softer & stop fighting me. I got the one my instructor recommended - wouldn't dare to choose one myself as their website has got soooo many that it's all quite confusing!!

They are the only bits I will use for my boy, and the new one when he arrives IMO they are worth every penny

They are the only bits I use now, and the ponies are very happy in them.

Definitely - I only use Mylers now and they are great because they have different levels according to the stage of training.

You can also hire them (think it is about £10) so you can try it out before buying one. I dont think they are that expensive really considering the price of a sprenger etc.

I like my one which is dressage legal. I also had a Combination Myler at one point a while back and liked its action as it seemed to be the only bit a very gobby horse accepted when he hated all others (pelhams / gags etc.).
