I have recently started looking for a horse to loan after a year or so and there really doesn't seem to be much about? Which surprises me with the current market as it is and the fact that it's coming up to winter.
Are people still loaning their horses?
I know that some loaners give the rest of us a bad name, I wonder if bad past experiences have put people off wanting to loan their horses out?
Any thoughts?

Keep looking Im sure something will turn up :) I looked for about 4 months and then got lucky, found just what I was looking for. There were several people interested in him so I had to be persuasive :) :) 3 months on the owner is so happy with his care, and I with him, that I am buying him. = Super happy me! So hang on in there you will find something. My last 3 loans came just when I thought Id never get one!

I have just started loaning and found when I was looking there was a lot of competition when replying to ads. If you haven't done so already, put some wanted ads out - I got a decent response to mine. I must say though many people with horses to loan wanted them to stay at their yard; understandable but not suitable for me but I found the right boy eventually :D
I am sure you will too :)

yes people are! my little TB is going out to his new home on sunday :D
i think most people want their horses to stay on current yard but its always worth asking if they would consider moving locally- make sure you have already selected a new yard and make it a nice one- i only agreed to my horse moving as yard is lovely and new loaner is lovely.
new rider has a lot on...

Yes people are still loaning but being very careful who to. I have just started advertising my boy for loan but with no reply.

I answered a very unlikely advert for a wanted (pony to loan). I wished I never answered the ad at first but actually, the family have been absolutely PERFECT loaners.

Now, horse sharing...

Must try equineadverts as nobody wants to help out for rides.
