Tryig to sell my dughters 13'2 that she has out grown, safe pc pony ideal for someone moving off a shetland etc

Not had any intrest only asking £85 with everything as home much more important

Is it just wrong time of year

I think its the price! I would instantly think there is something wrong with it - if this isnt the case why dont you offer him/her on permanent loan, this way you know the horse cant be sold on, and for the sake of 85 quid would be the nicest thing to do. ......

If the pony really is safe, sound, no vices, good pc type then try the pony club website - find your local branch and contact them, or just put on the main classified section. Easter hols is a good time as people start thinking about a bigger pony for the summer season. Surely £85 isn't right though??!

*chuckle* that makes a difference! In that case, seems a reasonable price to me, and as long as you have good photos I am sure you will get interest as we move towards spring, good luck...

could it be too cheap?! even at £850. in our pony club up here quiet always sells even if he ll only jump x poles. around here in pony club he would be nearer £2000 with his clothes!! could people think hes too good to be true. have you put on ad home more important than price??

Where are you advertising it and are you using good photos? How have you worded the ad? People are starting to look now that the half term is approaching but it may be that the ad could be worded and presented better.

I've got two well bred, well put together, perfect with children, farrier, catch etc registered (WPCS) Welsh Section A's (2 year olds). I could do with extra space and time, hence the sale. I keep dropping the price, but still no takers!

i have a super 14.2hh connie x grey mare great pc pony,
just about to advertise .? i was thinking £2200 with full wardrobe ?
maybe worth waiting till weather warms up lol

Just what I'm looking for! If I had sorted our current pony out I would bite your hand off! I'm sure things will pick up soon. ............ After this lot of yet more bad weather

Just out of interest, where abouts are you?

I'm looking for a pony for my daughter at the moment - will have to be 14.2 (actually a 15.1-2 cob would better as she is quite tall). For hacking, a little fun jumping, not competition.

But - people are looking for stupid prices - for horses that aren't really worth it, or have issues and problems. Went to see one that the woman was asking £2000 for and it was in a bit of a state, had obviously been doing nothing for 4 months, had been cleaned up for us to view, and had atrocious feet.

I'm happy to pay around £1000 and for that you think I'd get a decent cob? No - they are going for £3000 or so. One too many 0's!

Someone on here I think at the weekend was complaining they couldn't find anything 'safe' at that height for moving off lead rein I think it was. Sorry I can't quite recall the gist of the post hence I can't be searching correctly to find the post, perhaps someone else might?

I feel a bit 'stuck' too, had a few timewasters but my 13.1 has not attracted much interest since before Christmas. Weather and economic climate I think, will wait for better weather too!

I bet I have the pony that has been for sale the longest!! 2 years and 5 months...

14.2hh BSJA now 9 year old, cracking pony. Safe with a hugh jump. My daughter had an accident and can't showjump anymore so we sent him to a proffessional home to be sold whilst keeping him in competition....one full year later and they had had lots of fun with entry fees paid etc......

He then went to Ireland 'on trial' to a ISJ home ...they did well on him, he was short listed for the junior team but they kept stalling regarding payment!! Another full year and he is now at a friends place in Ireland and I haven't a clue what to do with the poor chap!!!

Jeez - think i would have put him on loan by now!

He si actually a 'few spot appy' - I calle dhim a poo stained white .....

He is jumping 1.20to 1.30 classes in Ireland. He did Newcomers + Fox with my daughter and she is not brave at all. He really is a cracking lad, no vices, great to do in all ways, never puts in a dirty stop etc He does throw in a buck before his first fence tho...quite good to watch when its a stride before a very large fence!!

Can't believe he is still mine 2.5 years on!!
