Are secondhand saddles selling?

I'm looking for a dressage saddle and other than the well known sellers which are really expensive, everything out there seems to be a scam. Saddles seem to be the go to scam on e-bay in particular at the moment. I've had 2 not turn up and had to go through e-bay to get my money back.

I’m trying to find a 16.5” Cavaletti monoflap and the second hand prices are only about £100 less than new. Certainly no cheap ones of those about

I just sold one for £750. Annoyingly I regret selling it so also looking for the same thing again. Not cheap!

Second hand saddles work less well for me these days as I fit the rider in a different way, and having a great fit for the horse and the rider "fit into" the saddle in the traditional sense isn't enough. It means that combos do need something more specifically for them, and it's why I've been pleased to be able to offer less expensive saddles which have huge adjustability for horse AND rider. I think as we understand more, and until tech catches up to offer that rider adjustability across more saddles, the second hand market will suffer a bit.

I'd love a Ghost for my share horse as his saddle doesn't fit me at all, but alas, his saddle fits him well so a new one isn't on the cards

The black country show saddles? Pretty sure we have at least one 16 1/2, off the top of my head it is a size wide. Possibly even two, got show saddles coming out of our ears...

Depending on the age and history of the saddle widening one size is entirely possible, maybe even two.
