Hello, got 3 year old gelding has him 8 month, bought his standing at 15.1. He has Hanoverian bloods he’s a Whitehawk/ sir shutterfly. My question is do they fill out late? He’s not broken yet and I’m 13 stone and concerned he’s not going to bulk up enough and hope he’s a late bloomer. Any advice appreciated. Not slimming world 😂 although i will I’ve I need to

The whitehawks are not very big if spotty and a lot have serious issues with PSSM as well. I have seen a lot of them as the stud is 10 miles away from me. The non spotty ones tend to be bigger - I have seen a few bays and piebalds out and about.

As for your question they are all a bit different. Some grow quickly then fill out. Some grow slowly and steadily. Some are just small!

I have a 5yo (almost 6) Whitehawk. He’s standing about 16.3 (and spotty!), but still needs to fill out a fair amount. He’s all legs still, but not the same breeding pair as yours I imagine.
I’d recommend testing for PSSM type one - it’s only £30 for peace of mind. And reading up on PSSM just for knowledge as unfortunately a few of the youngstock have either tested positive or been symptomatic
