Yes my horse got bitten badly in the first week of Feb and our woods are full of them

Swapped yesterday into sweet-itch rug. Now the frost seems to be going they'll soon be out.

I had one land on my arm yesterday evening! Rugs are coming out today!

We'll probably have ours in fly rugs by the weekend, we've started to see the midges about. With it getting warmer & being damp they'll be out & feeding.

Not here yet and it is still quite cold here in Gloucestershire; but have the rug ready and waiting...poor old girl, being rugged and smothered in creams all summer
