I have had my horse advertised for two weeks and haven't had a single phone call, not even a sniff.

Its not even as tho its the middle of winter and my horse is completely viceless. What's going on?

Is anyone else in the same boat?

It took a year of advertising to sell my old lorry and tbh if I did get many calls beforehand they were all timewasters/dreamers!

there are buyers; I know 2 people looking and they cant find what they want.......there is always a market for well produced horses-or at least there is round here. I know a lady who breeds - her phone never stops has no youngsters left......its like anything its luck of the draw and lie of the land!! good luck

We couldn't sell my old pony for months (we were selling her as a PC allrounder, good WHP) and spent a small fortune on advertising, but then we took her to an unaffiliated show and did 6inch courses (to show her to the under 10s novice market) and sold her within a week because she had been seen.

So don't give up and try to show people what they want (your horse lol) not tell them what they want - just loudly say that he's for sale at every opportunity :D

Had my horse on HorseQuest a week and not even one call. Am shocked, honestly thought I'd get heaps of calls as he's a one in a million horse. Assume nobody wants a beautifully mannered, very honest showjumper / eventer (with proven decent results in both)?!?! I wonder what type of horse IS selling?!

I had my boy on Horsemart for a 10 days he is a 16hh 16yr old schoolmaster and sold him for the asking price. A friend had her horse on for 3 weeks and has sold her 8 year old TB as well, both horses in Essex.

I've just put a similar post up. Had my boy advertised for two weeks and hardly any interest. I can't understand it. He's not over priced and is a fab all rounder.

As per my post on a similar question, some are definitely selling - the one I badly wanted to go and see was sold within 4 hours of the advert going up. Seems everybody wants what I want to buy (quell surprise...)

I am looking at the moment for a youngster to bring on to event. I live in lincolnshire and seems pretty slim pickings around here, only found two that i've liked enough to try so far!!

Yes we are out there, I have just brought a beautiful 16.1hh mare sports horse 3yr old, but I did have my 2yr old up for sale for a silly low price with no interest but I have now sold him for less than I brought him for but to a lovely home as I decided to compromise due to him not growing big enough

Im trying to sell a 10yr TB gelding. He has raced 6 times in his life so has low mileage. Has been placed in every unaff dressage comp and won ex-racehorse show class. I have x-schooled him and he didn't blink. COMPLETELY viceless, anyones ride.

I would like 3k, is that too much?

Im struggling to find something to buy!

Just in case someone asks:

Age 4-7
16.2 ish
Dressage with view to do advanced
£6000
Dont mind unbacked if its a big mover
