are there any cheaper versions of haybar?

As title really. I need to feed his hay from the floor, but he drags it into his bed and then pees on it, so I need to install a haybar, but at £65 they're pricey, and I wondered if there are any cheaper versions being made by other companies?

yeah mine is like this too

made it out of 2 pieces of wood and rubber matting, its fab and really looks professional too

As others have said. You need a triangle of Ply wood. and 2 lengths of 2x2 to screw it to the wall.

Mine is same as above but with a fastening on the top for me to attach my haynet over the top so he doesn't scoff it all at once

Have you looked on ebay for 2nd hand haybars?

I got 3 for £10 from a table top sale!!! Bargin of the century! Had them for about 3 years now and still going strong.

That picture of the one with rubber matting looks excellent, and probably safer than a real haybar if he pulled it off the wall. I now just need to convince my OH to make it for me

I just got mine from ebay for a tenner keep your eyes peeled!

I used corner hay racks, set lower down. Worked perfectly well as a cheaper alternative
