Are there any dedicated websites for selling trailers/lorries?

Hi,
About to try to sell out Equitrek and wonder if there are any dedicated sites or where people think they would look if they were looking to buy a trailer.

We are getting quite desperate to start trying as the garage that was buying our 4X4 has just pulled out 2 days before us dropping the car off, due to excess stock, so we need to shift one or the other quite soon.

When looking for trailers/boxes I tend to browse ebay and horsemart mainly.

Zoe, do you think ebay is somewhere someone would look if they were looking for something reasonably new and in good condition or is that more for people trying to sell older trailers?

I always look on Horsemart for horses/boxes etc but when we were looking for a wagon we looked on Horsehunter and http://www.horseboxesandtrailers.co.uk/ amongst others!

I think people do go on ebay to look for newer trailers. When we got our IW I looked on ebay rigorously - I wanted a new or nearly new trailer. I ended up buying from a local dealer as there was nothing in the right area on there at the time. I did go and see a new Richardson that was advertised though. At the moment we are looking for an equitrek multitrekka, and I am looking on ebay again for that - again we would like a new or nearly new trailer, but our nearest dealer is miles away.

Also meant to say there are very few equitreks ever on there of any size, so the ones that do get put on often sell quite well.

What sort of equitrek do you have and how old?

It's a Space Treka L, so the slightly bigger of the two Space Treka models, and it is 2 years old but rarely used as we were without a second horse for a while. It has the tack storage area, no living.

Shame your looking to sell immediately. I'm currently trying to get a refund on my mouldy ifor wiliams which might take a few weeks, and this would have been of interest.

I would agree with Zoe on ebay and horsemart. Although beware with ebay that the selling fees might be quite high.

We don't need to sell immediately in the sense of the next few weeks, we just need an idea of what's going to be happening (ie, to know that we will have movement before the baby comes in a few months time, as we can't afford to keep them when we have the baby). The 4x4 is being taken to another dealer on Saturday and will possibly be sold then.

If you are interested then I would be prepared to wait.

I would definately be "interested", but it all lies on getting a refund from Ifor. They have about 10 days left to respond to my official request for a refund. I will pm you when I get an idea of the refund situation, and if you've sold it by then thats fine.
