ideally meeting the following criteria
8-12yrs
around 15.2hh
that will actually pass a vetting?

my boss is looking for an eventer as above for her 15yr old daughter, have had 5 vetted ALL failed, wanted something that had done a few BE novice courses, had no joy at all so now looking for something that has been ridden by teenager at a lower level, BE 80-90. must be honest, travel well alone, and good to hack alone and in company.

any suggestions

Depends on the budget!

this ^^

ofcourse they're out there. The more money you have to spend, the further you're prepared to travel and the more patient you're prepared to be if you dont find what you're looking for immediately all play a part.

pockets are deep enough, up to 25k for the right horse, although they have now come to the conclusion that they may be better looking at the cheaper end of the market and taking something that has shown honesty at a lower level and has lacked schooling or the rider has lacked support with bringing on.

the horse does not need to take the rider round with out being ridden as she is a good rider, has taken 2 14.2hh form non BE upto BE 90 and the last one was just ready to go up to Novice. One of the ponies can be a difficult but not dangerous hack so that's fine, they went to see one twice last week with the trainer then the owner says the horse WILL NOT hack alone as in a professional rider cannot get it off the yard-what a waste of time as they knew before the first viewing what was being looked for.

Has your boss approached any professional event horse producers?

yes but there are very few 15.2hh being produced, very few event horses seem to be on the market at the mo, seems to be down to lack of fit horses due to weather, they have also really struggled to find producers that are being completely honest about the horses they have for sale.

they have been looking since July/August last year, we are based in essex and they have been to Yorkshire and the Peak district to look at a fair few (as well as other areas)

Pony Club??

nothing, they have been looking along with instructors at all the pony clubs that they have been able to. they are getting to the point they may not bother this year as it is exam year but they really want to keep it up, they are just concerned about taking something new on in the immediate approach to exams

I know of one that's absolutely wonderful, and they're thinking of selling, but I think he may be smaller than that! And I also think they want a fair whack for him. (though he's totally worth it)

I also know a dealer that sells that 'stamp', though they won't have done anything apart from hunted - but they're all level headed easy types, and all gone on to good things.

I'm miles away from you though :P But you can pm me if either of those would help.

Do the BE classifieds work for you guys, apparently there is NOTHING within 20 miles of me, that can't be right, surely!

We have one on our yard. 11 or 12 year old TB mare, about 15.2hh. Really sweet personality, showing good promise jumping 90 xc and sj easily. Hacks out alone and in company. PM me if you want me to pass the phone number on (other livery)

I'm sorry but there must be more to the search than the above criteria.

They have £25k to spend on a horse jumping 90cm courses, that a competent teenager can ride, and haven't found anything to buy (with 4 working legs) in 6 months of looking??
I could find dozens of them through word of mouth in a day!

OP- nice looking mare by Criminal Law over to the right...£7k. Not sure where your purchaser is located, but worth a look if not too far?
