hi

(also in breeding i thought i'd try a widder audience as well to make everyones brain hurt)

The following two brands are on my boys bum and flank, I have always throught they where breed marks as they are like no freeze mark i've ever seen plus they are def branded.

i have drawn over the top to make them easier to see, and posted the orig below

Have you any ideas are these breed marks or stud marks?
and do you possible know what they are?

Thanks

Hi
Thanks I tried two on that website and the only one which looked close was a south african stud yard, for bays which he doesn't fit lol.

Do you think these are breed marks or identification marks ???

Looks like something has double barrelled him!

One of mine has got a hoof shaped mark on her neck where my Shetland kicked her when she was young!

lol

He's an arab cross i think, lots of arab but there in his past grandmother or so must have been a mix.

The m shaped sort of one is def a brand sorry about the crap pic i took the last night lost the ones when we cliped them, so unless some one has custom shoes i don't think its a kick. Some days you can see it really clearly and others you would never know that one is there. The top one is always visibale exep in winter when he has his thick coat.

It just seems werid he has two, and both arn't excuse my igranance typical freeze mark indentification type marks, if they branded him for that purpose. Though lack of knowledge again are these typical brand indetification marks. As far as i know he's from irl and imported to the uk.

No I had my last horse 6 years when the passports, got one for him, He was an extream cribber and i'd been tough hell and back with his health. Before i got sonic but i will hold my hand up in stupidness, i was young and nieive (sorry about the spelling)

The lady who bought him from a dealer was meant to be a good mate, and she delt small time. Screwed me well and truely over, no longer a mate and boy did i grow up quick.

All i know is he's irish, had some mental and phisical problems, when i got him and we are still working through some of these together.

And i was a silly bint who didn't get his pass port from her, she told me not to go to the orig dealer, and she'd sort it. Never reseived it had a big fall out (out things involved). Found out she still owed the org dealer money for him. So through the mess i never got the original irish passport and my vets where happy to issue a new one.

Is it just me that sees a line linking the two horseshoe shaped marks?

Maybe it's just my eyes but I'm almost seeing an old fashioned 'g'. Could just be the photo.

It may be anything i should really drag the poor thing in from the feild and analze is bum whilst on the forum.

Hi coat doesn't help matters, i think it might just be a spot if i remember rightly

we have an Arab on the yard with similar marking and number brands... but his are on his neck - he was imported to Germany from Hungary....

could have been, the orig dealer who brough him to the UK, goes across to Germany and Hungary, I though he was irish but that not from the horses mouth so to speak. I know he's even brought one which originated from australia.

I'm not helping at all am i

isn't the one on the rump rather large? It seems huge to me in comparison to other brands! Why would you brand so big, you would need a big branding iron.

Not me who did this and i haven't got the answer, I'm just trying to work out why? and why two?

Yes it about 15cm squard. And the top on is quite deep, i think that why it shows up more the the other but the other one is 10cm long aswell.
