Sorry for the numpty questions but I've been having a "tack room" (shed!) clear out and found these.

I have no need for them but wasn't quite sure if they're what I think they are!!

They look like them! (They're sort of hard to find now(new), as the Porter guy stopped making them and the new BofB guy hasn't started yet, what are you planning on doing with them? ;) )

Oooh, I take it back as they are clearly for sale here--it was in the US that we were having a hard time a couple of years ago--still curious about it though! :)

Yes - I've got some and have used them on my old mare for years, ever since she damaged the superficial flexor tendons on both front legs at the age of 7. The vet recommended I used them and I've got through about four pairs in 16 years, so they lasted well!

Thank you :). I've got a long list of things for sale on a classified site local to the New Forest so shall be adding them to that!! ;)

Yep! I came across them when they appeared in my Stage 4 care on a horse to be tacked up for XC.... I hadn't seen them being used before, and have since asked around some eventing friends who had evented to a decent level (advanced etc)and they said they had never used them! Has anyone!!?!

yes years ago, lol, not that I really needed them. They were the mutts nutts years ago, along with flapper boots (petal over-reach) and claredon boots and other once popular things.

What was the name of those fetlock "boots" I use to used years ago on a racing yard where I worked - they were like a square of felted cloth with tapes across the middle which you tied above the fetlock then folded the top half of the fabric down over the joint. I had several pairs and have no idea what happened to them or what they were called ...

I evented in them! They were the Xc boot of the 90s. You had to cut them to shape and bandage in place. I'm sure one of Mary king's books gives a really good demonstration of how to put them on!

I had some too, they were brilliant for hunting! What a blast from the past. There needs to be an Antiques Roadshow of tack room stuff - they would go down a treat! I remember when everyone had the blue Clarendon tendon boots with sheepskin in the nineties for Showjumping. They were the must-have accessory then too!

Yorkshire Boots!
I have always used Porter boots and exercise bandages for X/C as my horse didnt feel happy when I changed to boots.

Did you manage to sell them? I have an unused set of 4 that I am debating putting on ebay....of course if I sell them then I will find a use for them as soon as they leave the premises....
