Are they any websites that advertise horses for loan?

A friend in Dorset is looking for a sensible horse/pony (14.2hh-15.2hh mark) preferably older and wiser than an under 12yr old (equine!)

Her current ex 25y old ++ show pony has got to be PTS soon which friend is devastated about.

I've had a look on HorseQuest and HorseMart but can't find a loan page. Have looked at the 'sellers' but all far over what she could afford to buy.... maybe as most ponies on there are in their prime with price to match.

She's tried the local charities but they haven't got anything that would suit her at the moment, and she doesn't want an ex racehorse....

Yes - lots! Type 'horse for loan' into google. Try Rightequine, Equine Adverts, Horsetoloan, Equineonline...you might find local ones too. Here is the Horsemart URL:

ETA: she could also try the pony club website, and contacting her local pony club or riding club. Or a discipline specific site like British Dressage.

Yeh most sites that sell horses also has horses for loan..just stick it in google.. My boy was on a loan basis when I first got him & I found him on preloved.co.uk

have you tried preloved, she can put her own free advert on as well as looking as horses for loan

I've used horsehunter.co.uk to look for loan horses in my area before.
