ive just bought a market harborough as i was told they worked well on some horses, however a lot of people say they are really harsh. i am quite worried about using it now? help!
I wouldnt say they are harsh at all, Ive got one for Arch although I dont use it anymore. Youve got 3 different 'settings' on it, so just start on the loosest one.
Hi i had one for a x race horse i rode , they are a training aid so just make sure you are using it correctly , start of on the looses clip and then after a wk clip it further up
i only used it for when we were hacking as being a x race horse he like to get his head and we would be in full gallop in about a Milli second lol
if your not sure how to use it make sure you get help
they are not harsh if used correctly
are they best to use in a snaffle? although my mare is in a rubber pelham? im not sure if she is strong because of the pelham as i bought her with it but the owner before had her in a snaffle? x
Id be inclined to try the snaffle first, b4 any training aids. Like you say, your horse may just be going againt the strong bit.
I bought my ex TB with a pelham in and I put a snaffle in straight away and it was like riding a different horse.
chill hun its all cool the amount of bits ive been through only to go back to the first one te he i would use a snaffle though i did with bud xx good luck
