Are warmbloods slow growers?

My warmblood x filly was about 12hh when we got her at weaning and is now about 13.3hh ish on her first birthday. She also is looking so much more grown up and i now cant call her foalie! Her dam is 14.3hh and dad is 17hh so hoping she makes 16hh.

Really interesting post!! I have a Hungarian WB he's 15/15.1hh and turned 1 last month. His dam is known for throwing big offspring though. He'll make the 17+hh mark easily!

He has never ending legs and he looks like he is wearing a mini skirt in all his rugs!! :D

For a 2yr old he is very nicely put together - and should make you a super sort.[ he s very like the coloured warmbloods we used to breed- some Ico in there?or Samber?]
His legs are long, so you could hope he ll deepen out to make the height.
But its sods law. If you want them to grow they ll stop[ we had a warmblood stop growing at 2!], if you want them measuring in they ll grow till they re 8![show cob, ended up 16hh- in the days before maxis. ]
all the best with him - he is lovely

Yep Samber lines :) but yes, he'll probably reach 16hh and i'll be all wahooo then he won't stop:D And thankyou!:)
