I am poss going to need a new jacket as my musto combo is leaking badly and i got soaked yesterday. I remember having a wax jacket when i was younger but while they keep you dry they are not very warm. We live in Norfolk where the wind and generally temp are VERY cold. does anyone have one and what is ti like.

i have a caldene wax jacket - its smart enough to wear showing in -hand - and wind proof

not warm unless i have a hoody underneath :D (yes i do shows with a hoody on :D ) lol

I have a wax jacket from 'Farm Supplies' which is lovely and warm - it also comes with a hood (which I understand is quite an extra). It wasn't overly expensive (about £45, I think) but it is extremely waterproof and lovely and toasty.

However, I don't ride in it - I ride in a Hi-Viz jacket - so I can't comment on that.

It isn't a very long one - but does cover my bum!!

I used to hunt in a long waxed coat when the weather was really wet. It kept me dry but wasn't very warm. My husband has a Barbour jacket with a liner to put in when the weather is cold. You can get wool liners for Drizabone jackets/coats too.
