The wee chap is 16 weeks old, he's having a hard feed once a day, we can pick up all fours. He's friendly (despite the odd nip, and buck/kick) We are just starting to zig zag lead and back up. Not yet stood tied up, happy to be scratched and groomed. Is this whats expected at this age? Or should we be at another stage? First time mum Sorry x

Sounds great but do not try the tying up yet. Leave that til next year, and be very careful not to scare him. Very easy to damage a foal by tying it up. Have fun!

Cool thanks, im so scared of messing it up, i want to give the best start i can, as a suprize foal im very un prepared! Ta

She's still not herself, i wouldnt trust her unless i had hold of her head or tied up...is this normal? do you think i will get my mare back? That i trust around my kids...i do wonder x
