Are we in MW's now?

Not quite!! My tb x han good doer is in his fly rug as an under rug (stops rugs rubbing his mane) Rain sheet no filling, and a 70g full neck rug. Don't want to rug in a medium yet as he will be clipped soon!!

I hope not, ponies are still well and truely naked and TB is still living out with only a 100g on, and has been naked during the day again for the last couple of days...

My skinny TBxWB is out 24/7 and at night is hovering between 100g and 200g depending on weather forcast, but others are naked. He is only well rugged as he need to put on a lot of weight and don't want him losing even the slightest bit keeping warm. But I am careful to go down a rug if he feels hot and if it is sunny during the day and not windy, he has his rug off.

Mine are in middleweights at night and light weight (no fill) by day. They are TB's and out night and day at the moment.

Had my IDxTB naked for the past few days as it has been positively hot here day and night!

Today though, lightweight back on 24/7.

Will not up her rug now until she is clipped - probably mid November.

Fi

nope, mine live out and are naked. Meg normally gets rugged about mid November, but only when the cold and rain hits hard.
Its been very mild here recently, 22oc yesterday!!

Out in the day naked, and he is clipped out full neck and diagonally to stifle. LW, no fill at night - and he is a wussy WB. Winter is long, I like to keep the heavier weight rugs for when it is properly cold!

Yes, both of them. Mick has a full clip so he had his on Sunday night, and I have just put Shineys on tonight as he was cold when I got them in. Don't want him to drop weight.

My wimpy warmblood was in a no fill rug until this evening when I went to the yard and my hands were so cold they were going numb and where we're on a hill it was really windy! So I popped an under rug on my boy just to keep him wrapped up as he's another that drops weight easily. It'll probably stay on now as the temperature is just going to carry on dropping where I am according to this weeks weather forecast! 11 degrees max during the day!! :(

Ooer, no! Felt mean at the beginning of the thread reading earlier replies, but glad to see some people are on the same lines as me rugging wise!

My TB was clipped at the weekend, was naked in the field on Sunday afternoon when we got back from our hunter trial, and then today and yesterday had a LW turnout. It was nice and sunny today too, I almost felt bad for rugging at all!
At night he has a full neck fleece and last night had a waffly-type rug on top of the fleece too.
Planning on continuing that this week as long as temperatures stay around 14 degrees during the day and 9 or so at night...wasn't planning on MW til it's a bit colder..

Nope! Boys still naked and out 24/7. I did weaken and put a rainsheet on when we had the heavy rain for a few days on end, but it is now dry and mild. They are being clipped at the weekend, full clip, and will then go in a lightweight unless the temperature drops drastically.

Dolly is out all day and in at night. Last time she was in foal, she really felt hot all the time, so at the moment is not rugged at all. (she doesn't grow much of a coat either). If we have a winter like last year, then she will probably just have a fleece on at night. Will play it by ear and see how she goes.

nope - mines still naked in the day - well she wasnt today but I put a rainsheet on to keep her clean - she has been out at night in rainsheet for the last week or so but there were a few nights she could have stayed naked. The temp has dropped loads tonight so I have put her in a medium light and she will stay in this until she gets clipped in a few weeks. She will be in at night then so prob stay in medium light until it gets to about 5 degrees in the daytime then will switch to medium. Heavy will only come out if it gets below freezing in the day.
