Are we paying to much?

Just wondering if we are paying to much for an 1 acre field we are currently paying £50 a month for it? I personally think we are but we are stuck really because their isn't any other land around here for rent or to buy?

I pay £200 for about 7 acres but that's cos I want sole use. It's £25 per week if I don't mind being part of the livery yard set up and totating etc
 
Everything is relative. Around here I wouldn't be happy paying that, but if you are in an area where grazing is hard to find then it will be at a premium and you will have to pay more than other areas of the country. I pay 15pw per horse for 7 stables and sole use of a lovely 6 acre field. Minimal facilites though & I have to do all the mainenance myself.
 
Sounds ok, I pay 25 per week for a 3 acre, its worked out at 12.50 a week per horses and I have two horses on. Its very rough field have had to electric fence right round all the fencing, but it drains really well has natural shelter and farmer doesn't mind haylage on or my horses living on it in winter. Guess you pay what its worth to you, round here its 15 pwk for grazing now.
 
Is there water and shelter available? if so, then that, to me, would be a reasonable price.
 
i pay 100 a month for 8 acres. sole use, Farmer also keeps an eye on the boys for me as they are right in front of his house!!! It has water, but no shelter or other facilities. Can ride in field though on ocassions, if too bad to go out.

Really nice couple 2, who always try and make life easier for us. Also allow us to store items in the log store and tack up there when it's raining.

We paid £50 per month last year for a 16 acre field adjacent to our own field. We've just rented the field opposite ours, about 1.5 acres, rough, and we will do some electric fencing in it although three sides are stock proof, and new gates have been put on. We are giving the owners £200 per year, formerly the field was empty, they have said they will be pleased to see horses out of their window!
