Are you a fair weather rider or an all weather rider?

All weather with the exception of lightning storms (well, and hail but haven't seen that since I left Colorado) and ice. If I didn't I wouldn't be riding 8 months of the year since in Colorado it would be snow and in the Pacific NW and here in Lux it's raining. I have the gear for me, and my horses are happiest out and playing.

Riding in snow is the best. As a kid I'd ride bareback in the snow for warmth, plus if you fell off it was like falling on a cushion! I always timed my rides for the best temperature of the day to avoid extreme heat or cold anyhow.

Fair weather, though now I have a shelter to tack up in and a waterproof exercise sheet, I will ride in drizzle / light rain. I don't think I could have a stabled horse without an indoor school again, though. I despised being pressurised to ride in all weathers on my share horse. He needed riding as the turnout wasn't great, but hated rain and napped backwards into the wind / rain. Now I have a horse who can't be ridden every day, and doesn't need to be as he lives out :) If it rains, I get an extra hour at home in the warm and dry with a cup of tea!

Fairly fair weather! If it's drizzling I'll ride, if it starts raining while I'm riding then I'll deal with it but prefer to be prepared with wet weather gear on!

If it's miserable then I don't bother. Ground is wet, we don't have a school so it gets slippy and horse will always try and turn against the weather so makes it all a bit tricky!

If I have something planned (lesson, show, hunting) then I will try and continue with it unless particularly horrible.
