Do you carefully select feed for your horses that are organic, non-GMO, don't contain certain things, or, do you buy for convenience, cost and nutritional value?
It seems many people have gone back to straights whereas maybe 10 years ago, I found on big yards that "whole" foods were really popular like happy hoof, mixes, cubes etc were fed to everything.
Over the years I personally am more aware of the effects of soya and corn (in the UK nearly all of it is GMO and that includes pet foods) in my diet and so try to avoid it in my animals' food.
I know I am one who went off straights purely for convenience and then after a few years have gone back to straights (a lot of it down to changes in hoofcare but this NOT about that), what about you?
