Are You Happy At Your Yard

Horsesatemymoney I can't quote cos on phone I totally agree with you and I am very conscious of making sure Thomas isn't irritating people. There are people at my current yard who don't really 'do' children and whilst they are friendly enough to him I don't let him go and bother them in fact I was like that with everyone at my current yard until the people who like children promised me he is no bother and now he goes and helps them. At the yard I mentioned the people were just generally unfriendly and not people I felt comfortable with either of us being around.

Sorry missed OPs latest post - you have summed it up totally being on a non child friendly yard you are always on edge and always rushing whereas you have as much right as others to spend time with your horse. I know a yard is for horses not children but for some people (like me) it is not always possible to leave the child at home so if you can find somewhere everyone is like minded and welcomes them the less stressful it will be. I am very lucky with my yard I guess and I really hope you find somewhere you love as much :)

OMG you just scared the poo out of me :eek: My wee one is called Thomas it was such a shock i thought i had written that :D:D

It is hard one of the people at my yard that seems to have the biggest problem with the kids has had 5!!! i mean come on surely she should know we are doing the best we can :rolleyes:
Tilda you are lucky you are at a place that is more relaxed i tend to organise everything so rugrats are not annoying anyone but my youngest is 7 nearly 8 so it won't be long and i can send him down the pits to work :D:D

To be honest OP, I think all told this does sound a rather unfriendly yard!

Have you had a look round to find out what other yards are about?

Feel for you xxx

Its not really unfriendly i just don't feel like i belong there, there are as i have said a couple of liveries that would soon spit on me than say hi but then there are a few that are nice to me i just dont feel happy there. I am going to start looking for a new yard but not going to move unless boxs are ticked. When we came up here the yard that i am on was the only place that was ok and Paddy was due the next day so did not have enough time to find anywhere else
