Are you happy now

I for one appreciate JM07's experience and advice (although not so much her 'way' with words sometimes) and do hope her ban isn't a permanent one, BUT I'm sorry, there are plenty of people on here just as capable. The forum will not crumble in her absence just as it hasn't when all the other 'regulars/experts left. People are joining this forum all the time. No one is indispensible.
Anyway she has another username and I'm sure will have no trouble rejoining if she wants.

Well, if JM has been banned, it is indeed a sad loss to this forum. I have seen so many great people leave because of ignorance and lack of tolerance shown by others.

I cannot comment on justification for a ban, as I never read the sweetFA threads.

Some people care about others, is that so wrong? We care about the input we'll be missing out on and some people here regard JM very highly, if thats sad then so be it.

Im happy with my perspective thanks.

I didn't call anyone sad for the record - just all seems a bit hysterical to me.

I'm sorry

its ok, it seems an abrasive attitude isnt something JM has the monopoly on, lets hope you have something positive to add to the forum as well....

HHO gets more and more pathetic! It is small wonder that so many people have left of their own volition, which already makes this a poorer place. It is now markedly poorer!! The amount of people on here who are unwilling to take constructive criticism, for fear of seeing the truth is appalling!! Those who try to advise are becoming a smaller and smaller faction - I fear after this débâcle there will be even less people willing to offer advice.

[/ QUOTE ]

So so true S_N, there seem to be a growing number who ask for advice and then take umbridge when someone tells them what they don't want to hear.

More and more fluffy bunnies and less and less knowledge.

Maybe we should all contact admin and hound them so they let her back?

I have never been a part of the sfa posts, but like many others posts if you do not like the information that is posted - you either ignore it or argue against it - what on earth posses anyone to complain about the views of someone else to admin? is this a grown up forum or not? - I have been on the receiving end of a few posts that have turned a little bit hostile - but would i complain about the other people - no i would not. If someone was pushing abuse of an animal, or bragging about hurting something - yes then i would complain, but a forum is a group of people with different life experiances and expectations and views - what do you do in the "real world" get the people whom disagree with you "sacked", barred from the workplace, bar, club etc or do you just steer clear?

I do hope JM's ban isn't permanent. But being very knowledgeable does not mean that rules do not apply. I personally have a lot of respect for JM but the numerous times she has been banned and seems to never learn a bit of tact (not pussyfooting around- just not blatant rudeness and borderline abusiveness) means that they will probably continue. I usually ignore the posts i do not like of hers and read with interest the useful ones. But i have thought a few times god help anyone who says a word against her or her friends. Also, it is not law to agree with everything certain people say. The beating down of any one with a different opinion gets a bit ridiculous at times.

I have no idea what went on in the SFA threat, but there have been some offensive and uncalled for posts since her last 'holiday' and so to be honest i am not surprised.

I want to make clear, i have a lot of respect for JM and i am sorry she is gone, hopefully not for good. But i am sure admin had their reasons. Silly games are just as bad also, if the accusations are true. Sad people.

As one of the Sweet FA'ers that you are all happily running down I would like to point out that this is a public forum and anyone of the forum members may have 'pressed' the magic button. Over the last few days some of the posts strayed from being constructive in any shape or form and some of them became abusive and personal using some fairly strong language. It should come as no surprise to any who were involved that the posts got reported whether they were directed to that person or not. Adults have to take responsibility for their actions. Every action has and equal and opposite reaction.

For what its worth I didn't 'push the button' either - whether you choose to believe me or not is your choice but I really don't feel the need to justify my postings any further.

Really valid point HP. No the forum won't crumble.

But the interesting thing about a number of members on here is the particular 'expertise' they bring with them.

Many of us could dissapear without it ever really being noticed. Several however, would be very missed - JM being one.

not in the SFA threads but i like JM OK her approach to somethings could be smoother should we say but u cant have it sugar coated all the time that's not life, i only hope she unbanned and returns to offer advice to those of us who want it

If you have a problem with her or her answers its simple do not look at her posts and put her on ignore

Well said ss. No amount of chiding from HP is going to detract from the fact that we are going to miss JM and whether or not HP agrees with it this post shows the wealth of feeling towards JM and her contribution.

everyone on this forum is needed, everyone has something to gain or give on here, there are the advice needers and givers and everyone has there moment when they need/give advice.

get group of women regardless of age toghter u get problems, however u forgive and forget go to bed and forget and start fresh. its nothing to do with being grown up its the ability to log off come back on and forget.

Sadly no, I really do not think it is anymore.

Hopefully it's just a phase it's going through. These things seem to go in cycles over time.
