Being slightly nosy here

but just wanted to see what the Comp. Riders do etc

I love hearing about people and their horses, especially how they do and what they do

so thought it would be nice to all get to know each other a little bit more (although many already know each other!)

Me- Dressage, driving, Hunter trials, showing. Affiliated showing, unaffiliated everything else, Amateur.
Work for a professional, affiliated eventer.

I compete my horse in unaff dressage and some showing. We started in walk and trot tests and P1 and P4 last year, working our way through all prelim tests. Having a go at P17 long test next week. Marks could be better as he's got the paces and talent but my hands won't keep still (grrr!) so this makes him tense and spooky! The highest mark we've got is 60.5 % but when ridden by a competent rider as a 5yo he won with 64%. Er he's now 10.

Recently started jogging around the arena and practising exercises with beginners pilates. Hope to lose weight, develop my core muscles etc so I can sit still without relying on my hands! My aim for 2008 is to get more than 62% marks!

My 35 yo cob is retired, owned him since he was 4, we did gymkhanas, SJ, XC, LDR, dressage, showing etc. Best little horse I've ever ridden, sensible as a cucumber and hardly ever a vet bill. Brille!

I'm an amateur eventer, affiliated. I also do affiliated SJ to practice and when the ground is too hard to event. I do unaffil dressage every now and again to keep the spooky boy used to the scary white boards!!!

I also have a very full time job (and understanding husband!!!)

Have replied for Rosie (if she finds out she'll probably disown me but am I bovvered?). She evented all summer and is now about to start point to pointing again for her second season. She maintains P2P is her favourite but she's also SJing at Towerlands all weekend. She just loves competing and suffers withdrawal symptoms within days of her most recent comp.
I guess it's good being 16 - I can only just remember tbh! lol

Although I class myself as an amateur, horses is what I do for a living, so probably makes me a pro sadly. I breed, so show my youngsters in hand. Just bringing one of my mares back into work so she will be back competing affiliated BD.
I also back and school youngstock so compete in various disciplines at unaff level to give them experience.
I also work for a showing breeder and produce her in hand ponies and hacks, and back her youngsters so showing seems to be my main thing at the moment

Aff eventing
Un & aff SJ (but rarely as cant stand teh waiting around)
Un dress (wish i could do aff but not good enough)
Showing- no chance though groom for friends that do both on occasions (they have managed to get em in a workers class once! not my cup of tea it took a hour for them to see all the horses they called back in and only 3 of us went clear ridicuous!)

BD, BSJA. I've done the odd bit of unaff eventing / hunter trialling / jump cross in the past & watching eventing on tv I'm tempted to get into it, but I think I've left it too late!! Plus too expensive & dangerous.

Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing. Affiliated to BD & BSJA, may do some BE next year but cant afford it atm

Ellie and I used to show jump affiliated, up to Newcomers level. We then had a bad fall, both of us, and I couldnt face jumping any more! We were happy hackers for 2 years, then this year I had the wonderful idea of trying to convert her to a dressage horse! LOL! very much unnaffiliated, mind you...
We also do as many pleasure rides as we can get to!

Registered BSJA, BSPA, and CHAPS. Compete county level in showing, had a really good year this year, didnt go home without a rossette which makes it a bit more worthwhile!

Though I ride for part of my living, I wouldnt say I was proffesional as I don't compete for a living. As a competition rider I am an amatuer, and Boston just does it for fun!!!

I prefer the jumping, and Bossy is better at showing, so we do both!

Doing unaff SJ at the moment, and very rarely (I mean rarely), we like to make a fool of ourselves at unaff dressage

Planning to go BSJA next year, hopefully around March

Do a bit of everything really - I love showing but will not even bother unless I think it is class. Would love a decent county worker or cob.
I affiliated BSJA, BE and have just bought some day tickets for BD.

eventing-aff
sj and dressage- soon to be aff when i can get my bum into gear and fill in the forms
pleasure rides to chill out too
ameteur with 1 horse

I competed my horse in siggy aff BSJA and RC SJ until he went lame this summer, hopefully he will come back for me and we can keep jumping.
I have also XCed,HTed and done dressage on him but prefer him to jump on. He is my only horse.
On anyone elses horses I get to ride I do whatever they enter me in, so generally RC SJ,D and HT.

I affiliated event to PN level (hopefully Novice/JRNs next year) and Show jump to discovery (hopefully newcomers end of this winter) and unaff. dressage. to novice. and I'm an amateur

Affililiated eventing and possibly Dressage over the winter. Also compete unaff dressage, Sjing and showing. Definitely a (very) broke amateur

Mainly affiliated dressage, although do a bit of sj'ing and x country for fun, dressage is what I absolutely love doing though, I could school all day every day (but sadly I have to go to work!)
