I know the weather is very warm, but coat is pouring out of my lot, it is a nightmare! I keep trying to tell them that it is the wrong time of year to moult, but they arent listening :o:D:D

Yep, female is a bloody nightmare, pulling bagfuls out of her daily and had to bath her the other day.
Brother started his in April and is just about finished (I got a compliment about his coat the other day, unusual given his sableness :p).
Think the weather is really taking them by surprise, heavy snow in April/May followed by a few scorching weeks in June!

Mmm I guess so, just glanced across at Islay and she looks awful, all moth eaten and with large seal/brown patches when she is usually jet black

I hope the vets dont think I am ill-treating her when she goes in tomorrow :p

Am noticing it much more on their beds, once a week washing is not enough at the mo - poor washing machine!

They have been swimming a lot recently (Hecty once he's healed fully), does this encourage moulting or fetch it out do you know?

Yup, with great enthusiasm and despite a daily or twice-daily brushing the house is still full of it. :o

Between us and the husky lady from up the road our garden birds have amazingly luxurious nests, mind - keep seeing them filled with white and grey hair from her big male. :D

Having seen my girls at the AAD meet up you don't really need me to answer that question do you?:p Evie has just about finished, loads of grooming and a swim last night have nearly got it all out, but the other 2 are still leaving tufts everywhere.:(

Well no I suppose not in this case :D Can we have some pics of your lovely 3 please? :) Having said that, I bet you have posted on the GSD thread now

My mobile home appears to be covered in a layer of black hairs everywhere - I am assuming Flick just isnt moulting :p

my dogs a husky, and boy is he molting, when i come down in the mornings its all blown from under the kitchen door. Good job i have wood floor.

I found wooden floors worse! My scruffy lurcher used to leave tumble-fluff everywhere when he moulted, it used to block the hoover when I cleaned it up :D My ex used to get very stroppy when I didnt think to sweep the floor intead...:D

You've got a point there, but i find when it goes up the stairs it's a bugger to get out.

Ruby wocker has begun her first moult but Im not seeing anything coming out of the collie yet.

I was just thinking last night that Im surprised she hasnt started losing hair, normally its like a christmas card on our floors when she gets going but maybe she knows something about the british summer that I dont!

Well I'm glad it isnt just mine then :) I will never again say smugly "of course that is why I have a short haired breed, they are so clean and easy to manage....":D:D

Well Isabel has finally just finished tufting everywhere :( SSSSSoooooooo many tufts from such a small dog :(

Supposed to be showing at Blackpool tomorrow, needless to be say, Isabel wont be there lol :D

I saw a poor bloody husky cross type thing today with coat half in, coat half out, absolutely stinking, being taken for his ten minute pootle at 6am before being chained back up to his kennel, in the next village.
So, you can't be arsed to brush/socialise/provide proper accommodation/provide enough exercise for your poor dog, but never mind, he looks well 'ard.
AWESOME!

KH, our local roads look like some sort of furry massacre has taken place, I either absent mindedly pluck tufts while walking along or lose the bap when I notice how bad they have got and start stripping them out along the roadside :o
