Are your horses in or out?

Both out but have rugs on at night as mine is fully clipped and pony is trace clipped and a oldie who feels the cold. They are so chilled out its lovely to watch.

The yard went to its summer turnout on Sunday, 2 weeks earlier than normal. People can keep them in at night or day depending on their preference/needs or they can be out 24/7.

Yard were able to turn out 24/7 just over a week ago now. My boy went out from night one, he much prefers to be out. Some others on the yard are still bringing in of a night. Its your own preference really.

lol horserider watch this space - may not happen yet but by heck if it does im buzzing - so so so want this field and mmmmmm good natural shelter but already decided on a field shelter to - good water supply and mmmm reasonable fencing but needs work in parts but ohhhhhhhhhhhhh i want and i WILL HAVE lol

We went 24/7 last week (could have been out 24/7 in the winter but physically can't get to the field due to seas of mud).

Beau is not staying out at night cos he'd explode but he can if I really need a brea. He'll switch to nights when it's a bit warmer.

Ours are out 24/7 all year round and rugs came off about 4 weeks ago and have just stopped feeding hay. Grass is coming through nicely now and droppings are changing :o Must be enough for them as none of them are coming up demanding to be fed apart from the shettie and he tries it on all year round :p :D

Currently in at night, out in the day.

I was tempted to leave her out 24/7 but looking at the long range weather forecast the weather is meant to get wetter an cooler.

After Badminton I will re-asses the situation, it depends when her field companion starts to be turned out overnight and in during the day. I don't mind her being on her own in the day (she can see other horses) but not too keen on her being out overnight on her own.
