just wondered. have left mine out as she is further away from the fireworks being in the field than she would be if she was in her stable.

shes also next to a busy moterway so doubt she will hear them anyway

Mines out. She is only 3 and has lived out for the past few months. I think that suddenly bringing her in and stabling her for 12 hours would be far more stressful.

LOL that poll doesnt make sense!

Mine are out.

Im going up soon to bring them in for their tea.

They are staying out tonight though, they can watch the fireworks display in the village from their field. Interested to see how beau will react, it being his first experience of bonfire night with us.

No fireworks here.

Back in Wales I used to have this argument every single year, horses were in at night by now, and I wasn't allowed to leave mine out where I thought they'd be safer. I used to take them up the mountain to my paddock and let them watch the fireworks all over the village out in the field. Spectacular view from that high up.

personally i think they are safer out in the field?

i think they are safer out especially if they are uhsed to it. Far more room to run around if need be. My mare would probably jump out of her stable if she was really scared!!!

Ours are out - as usual - and fireworks are not too far away, it's really like WWIII but they really don't care. Infact, they tend to stand there watching, going "awww...that's a pretty one"!!

Ours at the yard are in, mine is out 24/7 with no access to stables so is out. She got through the fence last night though (barbed wire, YO refuses to remove it) and thank GOD didn't hurt herself at all. I'm pretty certain her and her fieldmate were scared by fireworks and Maiden got forced through the fence. I'd much prefer mine to all be inside really, but no choice this year.

Have always left mine out, I never forget going to watch a disply at an arab stud and the arabs all stood there watching, not bothered at all. Anyway Mr T ramraided his door off its hinges the other night when I brought him in for the farrier so I think trying to keep him in would be more stressfull than being out. He had a good deal of dried sweat under his rug Sunday morning and some skid marks in his field which I put down to the massive display in the next village, but still think that he would have damaged himself more in his stable.

Out! Cant bring them in anyway at the moment checked on them past two nighst and seemed alright.. due to pop up tonight @9pm to double check again.

Although im sure they get more stressed when i go up and see them (a sort of 'oohhhh mummies here, oooo look loook, shes not normally up this late, she must have treats!')

Half are in and half are out and so far tonight there have been far fewer fireworks than over the last two days.

Mines just started being out for 24/7, so is oit with 2 other horsey friends. He is much further away from them in his field than he would be on the yard, and at least he has some control of where he wants to be when he is in 3 acres of field instead of a 12x12 stable! Wasnt botehred at 6.30 tonight
