Well I got down to the farm quite late tonight (Poor Tagsey has been out in the worst of today's torrential rain) and when I unrugged him in his stable, he was absolutely bone dry under his rug! :D
He was rugged in his 1000D Horseware Rhino Plus T/O.

So how have your rugs held up in today's rain?

Mine was bone dry too. He has a Ruggles heavyweight (just been clipped out) which was ridiculously cheap - little bit narrow in the shoulder but nice and deep. Well pleased with it.

Rambo supreme on one - clean and bone dry. Other 2 naked, wet and peed off but still fat as butter and with plenty of grass to eat and trees to shelter under!

My mare's in a premier equine which looked soaking on the outside but when I lifted it off to see how wet she was she was completely dry! First "proper rain" experience with one and very impressed after endless rubbish weatherbeetas. Our other horses Amigo kept him totally dry too.
Little pony's LW was soaked through so that's come off!

Mine was in his bargain basement heavyweight Rhinegold combo rug and was wet on his quarters, I didn't expect it to be great but was still disappointed, think I will now only use it for cold weather!

2 of mine in LW's where soaked through. Had to Change their rugs. Think they need reproofing.

light weights aren't designed to with stand this type of rain! I used to work for a rug cleaning company and people used to complain about them but they really aren't good enough! they defo need a medium with this weather!

Mine was in his weatherbeeta orican combo today which is 5 years old and was bone dry, its a freestyle one with the big tail flap it always keeps him snug

Yes, pony totally bone dry under a supercheap Loveson Allpro 100g combo. His no fill sheet of the same brand is every bit as good. Very pleased with these rugs

Both of mine seemed rather damp around the edges tonight, my only conclusion is the amount of wind is blowing their rugs up and if they stand head on the wind is blowing them up off their backs so rain is getting underneath .

One is in a 2 yr old rambo optima, the other a brand new big horse shop rain sheet - cant both be leaking fps!
